Golden Barnet

Golden Barnet
I recently had lots of fun going on Channel 5's Big Brother's Bit on the Side audience in January 2012, so had to make sure my hair looked fabulous for TV. A lot of my friends asked me afterwards how I styled my hair as usually I have loose curls from rollers or a normal blow dry. So I will share my secrets with you of how you can get a smooth long bob style with loads of volume and bounce.
As my hair is Platinum blonde at the moment it tends to get very dry and needs help to keep it nourished and add shine

1. First of all I wash it with Aveda Blue Malva shampoo £18.49. This fantastic blue shampoo smells fantastic, takes out all the brassiness out of my blonde locks and puts the moisture back in my hair.

2. I then gently towel dry my hair (I never shake it roughly) and then brush my hair through with a Tangle Teaser £9.99. I bought one of these in my hairdressers as my hair is prone to getting knotty. This fantastic brush has special grooves which slide through your hair and take out any tangles without breaking your hair. This means brushing is pain-free and you can brush your hair wet which was previously a big no no.

3. Next I lightly spray in some Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave In Conditioner. £3.99
Using its special formulation which has been specially designed for hair that's damaged, weak or distressed, Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner helps keep your hair protected when it is most likely to be damaged; When it's being styled.
Containing Tea Tree Oil, which helps to strengthen hair, and Avocado Oil, which will make your hair look deliciously lush, Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner helps strengthen hair while you style and prepares my hair for the hot brush styling.

4. Next I pin up all of my hair on top of my head and blow-dry straight the bottom section with the Tresemme Hot Air Styler 2776U £25.49. This is inspired by the salon and loads cheaper then having a blow-dry. The Volume Styler is a hot air styling brush from TRESemme that add volume and shine to your hair as you dry. I then let the rest of my hair down and style the rest into a long bob so you get the bounce. You have to really pull your arms up to get in there and get volume but it's totally worth it.

Product Features

Stylish and powerful 700W hot air styling brush
Builds volume, body and bounce as you dry
50 mm ceramic coated barrel for even heat distribution
Features firm brush bristles
2 heat settings plus a cool setting for ultimate control
Ionic conditioning technology for hair to a glossy, frizz-free shine

5. For the final finish I take a nail size amount of The Body Shop Coconut Oil Hair shine £4.85 and rub it in my palms until it gets warm and loosens up. I then stoke it through my hair, concentrating on my parting and baby hairs. The smell is divine as it smells like tropical coconut. It really adds shine (especially for blondes) without making your hair greasy and feels really lightweight.
